Let's face it, we all have the best Mummy in the world, don't we? I know I do! If you'd like to win this original paper Panda framed papercut then let us all know why your Mummy, (or a Mummy that you know) is the best.
Post your reason under the photo of this cut on the PP Facebook page. The winner will be drawn on Saturday and announced here on the blog.
About the cut: The papercut is floating over a blue background, framed in a handmade box frame finished with the engraved Paper Panda tag 23x23cm. I nominate Stephanie Roe! She's the best mummy I know (other than myself of course). Her children are the scariest creatures on this earth! (Read her Facebook status's you'll see! And ones a ginger! How she hasn't sold/killed/abandoned them I just will never know! Is she rocking in a corner?......no she just copes! Not only that she actually adores them! Despite the winky dancing, bum wee and embarrassing nipple flashing! She just sits back drinks her wine and smiles! A true hero! And mummy in a million! :-)
ReplyDeleteI nominate my mother. She somehow managed to bring myself and my two brothers and three sisters up to be reasonable adults. She still works hard with very little time to herself to venture out into her garden. I can guarantee that she would adore and treasure this beautiful piece of art. It would help remind her that she is loved by all her children and that she was and still is a wonderful mummy :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to nominate my mum, who sadly passed away just before Christmas, Not living close by was very difficult for me, but I have great memories, we always managed to be there for each other, she was my inspiration my motivation my friend. I would love your wonder artwork on my living room wall, (not in the kitchen she would always have a comment about my style of cooking) as a beautiful reminder of the lovely person she was. Sadly missed, never forgotten always loved.
ReplyDeleteI nominate my mum, who sadly passed away just before Christmas, Not living close by was always difficult for me but we managed to keep in touch and the miles between us disappeared.Your beautiful artwork would be a wonderful reminder of a very special person, which I would hang in my living room (not the dining kitchen, she always had a witty comment about my cooking) She was my Mum, my inspiration, my friend, always missed never forgotten always loved.
ReplyDeleteMy mum.... a beautiful person inside and out, She lights up a room just by being there, (I tend to hear her laugh before I see her!) always sees the best in everyone and so much time to give to anyone who needs it. an inspiration to all of us. A very uplifting energy. And despite going through many bumpy times like we all do! being a three times 'C' survivor herself... and having the compassion to run a support group for those who are suffering from 'C'. She always has a smile on her face. Me and my little ' bother' ;) - are so so proud! X
ReplyDeleteI nominate my Mum, Patricia Newis! She's always been there for me even though I now live 400 miles away. 6 years ago my son was stillborn. My mum never left my side and stayed in hospital with me the whole week I was there. I would never have gotten through it if it wasn't for her love and support. :)
ReplyDeleteI nominate my mum not only did she bring my 6 older brothers (2setstwins) and I up single handed whilst working she also helps me out with my 3 babies as much as she can and stays at the weekend since I've been diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalger Even though she's almost 70! Il never be able to thank her enough she's my hero! X

ReplyDeleteI nominate my Mum, who is loved and adored but sometimes not on purpose taken for granted, my mum, a mother of three, a friend to us all, someone who shares her warmth, wisdom and compassion all without second thought of herself! My Mum the marvel, she has cared us through illness, mopped up our tears through sadness, and created laughter and a happy family. My mum deserves the world and to be recognised is ed for all she has acheived through her dedication and love xx We love our Mum so she is our Nomination Irene Pidgley xx
ReplyDeleteI would like to nominate my Mummy. Although she's super amazing and my only family, (oh! And of course I've got my doggie!), the main reason I want to nominate her is because I call her by her name-- Jane. I started doing it as an annoying teenager, (probably even more irritating from your only child) and now I've done it for so long I don't seem to be able to stop, despite trying! I write 'Dear Mummy' twice a year in cards on her birthday and at Christmas, and she really loves that, and writing this I think I shall try to call her Mum more. IF she had this lovely papercut, she'd hang it proud in pride of place, and she'd always know, that despite my horrible teenage habit, she's very much appreciated, and of course, my one and only Mummykins. xoxox
ReplyDeleteI nominate my mum, she is there for us all (me and my sister), our children and everyone else she feels needs a friend she gives her all and never expects anything in return! She is my best friend, helping hand, and is there in a flash! Completely the bestest mum ever!!
ReplyDeleteI nominate my Mum because she has been going through a really tough time recently, she lost her job and has been struggling with her depression. Where she would have gone and rung my Gran for support she can't anymore, which I think is all of our worst nightmares.
ReplyDeleteMy mum has three children and 7 grandkids, she has gone through a lot in life but is a survivor and always comes out on top. She never thinks about herself, a trait I think I got from her lol
So to treat her to something special and unique right now would be amazing xx
I nominate my Mummy as she has been a brick through everything..I had my first baby young needless to say the father was no good...instead of disowning me she embraced me and helped raise my baby...my baby ( now being 16 )...my mum and my 16 year old have a fantastic bond now...then followig my failed.marriage and my next 3 children she still continued to support me even through her own hard time of her own mother passing, my nan being a very strog character in our family, which god bless her we all still the miss greatly. Back to my mum though..she works hard full time is a part time mummy to all four of my children amd now I am planning my wedding she has also taken on the role of wedding planner..all this and she is keeping my dad on track after his heart attack..in ahort my mother is an amazingly strong person who I can only hope and pray I will be like towards my chikdren as they get older.
ReplyDeleteI nominate my amazing Mum. She is the most positive, encouraging, thoughtful, selfless lady I've ever met. She completely dedicated herself to being a mother first, to ensure my brother and I felt loved and safe. Now, at the age of 73, she is a full time carer for my Dad and has been for the last ten years. It's physically and emotionally exhausting but she never ever complains and always has a smile on her face. Truly the most amazing Mum in the world. I'm having a c-section tomorrow morning and I aspire to raise my child the way she raised us <3
ReplyDeleteI nominate my wife. Together we have a little boy who'll be one on 27th. She was his tummy mummy but as the family breadwinner she had to go back to work when he was 4 months old, leaving me the privilege of being the stay at home mummy. It would make a great happy first year of being a great mummy present :-) (ps she is a bit yummy too) x
ReplyDeletei nominate my daughter Clare Hirst she has been a mummy for 15 months now to an adorable little boy but during her pregnancy became quite ill and had to have surgery last year her only concerns during it all was her son was ok ... even to the point of hours after she wanted to go home to be with him. Unfortunately having her Gallbladder didn't resolve the problem and she is still ill but continues to work and support her amazing son it would put a smile on her face and make her realise she is not only an amazing mum but an amazing daughter.
ReplyDeleteI nominate my daughter Elizabeth McClurg who raises her son Isaac (3 in July) while his daddy works away from home. He only gets home for 1/2 the year & Elizabeth is pretty much mum & dad to Isaac :) x
ReplyDeleteI nominate my friend, Saira Carmody, she is such a fantastic mummy! Without divulging all of her private life, it took her a fair while to become a mummy due to various health issues, but her little Max Potato is utterly lovely. He has so many food intolerances that weaning him has been quite a challenge, but she has stuck with it all and kept a smile on her face. She also loves your cuts, Panda and would treasure this prize forever if she won it!
ReplyDeleteI would like to nominate My Mummy!!! Shes put up with me for 40 years now and has been a rock for me thoughout. Especially the last few when Ive struggled with agoraphobia!!! Shes there with me helping me to face my fears. (with her foot up my arse pushing me!!!) She also deserves it for putting up with my Dad for 45 years!!! Hee Hee
ReplyDeleteLove Hazel (Didos) xx
I nominate my Mum. She's struggled with a lot over the years with illness and knock backs relating to her health. Despite all this she always does her best to go out of her way to support my brother and me no matter what we need and how trivial it may seem to others. She always puts herself on the backburner for her children, family and friends. It would be so nice to be able to present her with something just for her to show how much we appreciate her.
ReplyDeleteI nominat mi mummy beecus she is nise. And i love her. From izzy and olly and alfee. I'm siks yeers owld and olly is toow alfee is a bady (baby)
ReplyDeleteI would nominate my mother, Diane. She went through SO much with her husband, my step-father, fighting cancer and an incredibly intense depression. For years, she fought daily, non-stop, to help him up the hill to a "normal" life. I was there, by her side, the whole time, holding her hand, lending her an helping arm in case of need, when she was the one feeling down. She is the strongest person I've ever met and she deserve so much out of this life. A little something would mean a lot to her; it is full of softness and tenderness, care and attention, just like her.
ReplyDeleteI nominate my bestie Lisa Barlow. Unfortuneately her mum died when she was very young and she was brought up in care but she has grown into the most amazing, strong, brilliant mum and woman I have ever known. She has never made herself into a 'victim' and has the most beautiful, well loved, well cared for family. Just before Christmas after we had had a night out together she fell down some stairs. After a visit to the hospital she was sent home with suspected whiplash. £6 hours later it was confirmed that she had actuallt broken her neck and she spent the first 3 months of this year in a Halo brace. She never complained once. Even when HMRC told her she couldn't have any sick pay after paying in for the last 16 years because of a mistake her boss had made 4 years previous - she still kept on smiling. Shes not only the most amazing Mother she is also the most amazing friend and puts everybody before herself. How fantastic it would be for her to be put first for a change x
ReplyDeleteI nominate my wonderful scrummy mum. She means the world to me and is just fab with my new baby girlie. Worlds best mummy xx
